Dutch Grand Prix: Verstappen Wins Home Race
Verstappen dominated the race from start to finish
Perez finished second, while Hamilton completed the podium
Max Verstappen won the Dutch Grand Prix on Sunday, leading a Red Bull 1-2 finish ahead of Sergio Perez. Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes finished third, while Ferrari's Charles Leclerc was fourth.
Verstappen started from pole position and controlled the race from the front, building a comfortable lead over the chasing pack. Perez was able to close the gap in the second half of the race, but Verstappen was never under serious threat.
Hamilton made a late charge for victory, but was unable to catch the Red Bulls. He did, however, manage to pass Leclerc for third place on the final lap.
The win is Verstappen's ninth of the season, and extends his lead in the drivers' championship to 93 points. Perez is now second in the standings, while Hamilton is third.
The Dutch Grand Prix was a dominant performance by Verstappen, who has now won three of the last four races. Red Bull is also now in a strong position in the constructors' championship, leading Ferrari by 131 points.
