Dashing newcomer Eugenio Franceschini was on top of the world. And now, as the world gets to know this Italian actor, he has this to say about his latest role as hunky chef, Gregorio, in the popular Netflix series, Emily in Paris. "It is a gift. I am very excited," Franceschini says of joining the cast.
The series follows American Emily Cooper played by Lily Collins, a marketing executive from Chicago who moves to Paris for a job and culture shock. Franceschini's character, Gregorio is a fellow chef at the restaurant where Emily works. The two share an instant connection and end up in a love triangle with Gabriel played by Lucas Bravo.
As for what we can expect from Gregorio in the new season, Franceschini teased, "He is a very passionate character. He is very determined. He is very strong. And he's also very funny." And while Franceschini may not be as familiar to American audiences, he has a long list of acting credits to his name in Italy.
The actor, who originally studied architecture, began acting at the age of 20 and he made his film debut in 2011's The Right of Spring. Earlier this year he starred in the movie, The Time of Indifference.
Franceschini is not the only new addition to the cast. Emily in Paris Season 3 also welcomes Paul Forman as Nicolas de Leon and Lucien Laviscount as Alfie.
